Cleaning

It uses cleaning cartridges to clean the shaver. This cartridges last for around 30 cleaning cycles before a new one is needed. To use it you just put the shaver into the unit and press start. It takes about 5 minutes to clean the shaver and about 4 hours to dry.
For manual cleaning you just rinse it out while on under hot water. After you are done rinsing you just remove the foil and let it dry. A bit of light machine oil is needed for the foil if you do a lot of manual cleaning. It is recommended that you clean your shaver after every use.

The Braun Series 5 590cc electric shaver provides a close shave that is quick and easy to perform. The shaver is really comfortable to hold and the automatic cleaning makes it really low maintenance. The battery life is pretty good too; you are able to take it on long trips without needing to constantly charge it. What is also great is you can charge it with the cleaning system or with the power cord.
It has a sensitivity function as well which makes it great if you are prone to skin irritation. It does are really good job getting those tough spots such as your jaw line and under the chin.
Cons
The Clean & Renew system can be a bit noisy when it is running the cleaning cycle. It is also a bit large and will take up a lot of counter space.
